Cornerstone
How could I ever lose my faith in You When Your
name is faithful, Your name is true? Foolish men try to build their kingdoms to
the sky. All the while you were trying to show me it was hidden inside. Oh,
precious is the Cornerstone I am laid to rest upon. Precious is the
Cornerstone. Love is not offended, but love is an offense To those who take so
much pride in their appearance. They've been searching for the answers in the
stars and in between the lines. All along You were writing Your words upon our
hearts, upon our minds. Oh, precious is the Cornerstone I am laid to rest upon.
Precious is the Cornerstone. So, open up your eyes. Open up the door. Let the
King arise in this place forevermore. Open up your heart. Open up your mind.
There you'll see Heaven. I see it coming. I feel it in the wind. Your spirit
moving through this house again. The sound will travel. Light will pierce the
skin. The King is coming to this house again.
Cornerstone
My hope is built on nothing less than
Jesus
blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
but wholly trust in
Jesus name
Chorus) Christ alone, Cornerstone,
weak made strong, in the Saviors
love
through the storm he is Lord, Lord of all
When darkness seems to hide his face
I rest
on his unchanging grace in every high
and stormy gale my anchor holds within
the veil
Chorus) Christ alone, Cornerstone,
weak made strong, in the Saviors
love
through the storm he is Lord, Lord of all (x2)
Then he shall come with trumpet sound
oh may I then in
him be found
dressed in his righteousness alone
faultless stand before the
throne.
Christ alone, Cornerstone,
weak made strong, in the
Saviors love
through the storm he is Lord, Lord of all(x4)
I Built My House Upon a Stone by Jason Upton
I built my house upon the stone
A stone so rarely built upon I feel quite foolish and
naïve
I took the lead from god’s own son
A man rejected by his own, his only throne a cross of
shame
Jesus, Jesus
To the lamb of god who knows me by my name
All the glory, all the honor, all the praise
To the one my future hope depends upon
I am trusting you, I am trusting you my god
My story’s crazy but it’s true
It started out confusing too, it just gets stranger by
the day
I’ve been the blind man on the road
I’ve been the boy running back home
I’ve been the sinner and the saint
But the love of god has never changed
Upon This
Rock
When others see with earthly eyes
Just what they want to see
You will see the things that never die
You will know and recognize
By simple child-like faith
The priceless truth that
Others will deny.
When others say I'm just a man
Who likes to dream His dreams
When others call a miracle a myth
You'll listen for eternity
In moments as they pass
And see with spirit eyes
What others miss.
Upon this rock I'll build My kingdom
And on this rock forever and ever it shall stand
And all the powers of Hell itself
Shall never more prevail against it
For Satan's thrones are built on sinking sand
Upon this rock I'll build My kingdom
And on this rock forever and ever it shall stand
Upon this rock of revelation
I'll build a strong and mighty nation
And it shall stand the storms of time
Upon this rock.
If in a simple carpenter
You see the Son of God
If you would chose to lose
When you could win
If you would give your life away
For nothing in return
Then you are where
My kingdom will begin.
